The intelligence behind the images
SwipeIQ plans and creates AI dating photos for men. Our methodology combines proprietary data collected on dating apps from our users’ real profiles, findings from our own private experiments, and published research on photography and first impressions.
Those inputs inform how we approach a profile: the photographic choices, the scenes and the way the images work together. Your appearance, interests and dating goals make that plan yours.
Three sources. One considered approach.
- Proprietary dating-app data
- Data collected from our users’ real profiles on dating apps grounds our methodology in the setting the photos are made for. It brings a dating-specific perspective to the decisions behind a lineup.
- Our own private experiments
- Our experiments contribute proprietary knowledge to the methodology. Together with our dating-app data, they inform how we approach photographic presentation and profile planning.
- Published research
- Studies of first impressions, image selection and nonverbal presentation help explain why photographic choices matter. We connect their findings to the decisions involved in building a profile.
From evidence to your profile
We begin with the person: your recent reference photos, the interests that belong in your life and the kind of connections you want to make. That gives the profile its direction and the images their context.
Then we plan a six-photo lineup with complementary roles. A clear portrait introduces you. A wider view shows your style. An activity or everyday scene gives someone something specific to respond to. Framing, expression, posture and variety are considered together.
Generation follows that brief. Your references guide the likeness, and you review the results for the details that make you recognizable. The objective is a stronger presentation of you across the whole profile.
The research, made useful
Our guides explain the public research behind the approach: what researchers compared, what they measured and how the finding informs a photographic decision.
- Why the same face can leave different first impressions
- Why choosing your own profile photo is difficult
- What body language adds to a dating photo
- How researchers study dating profile photos
Each research explainer links to its primary sources and connects the evidence to a practical part of the profile.
Your identity is the reference point
Your photos should reflect your current face, build and real interests. Better photography keeps you recognizable. Catfishing and impersonation are prohibited.
Read our privacy policy for how we handle photos and account data, and our terms for acceptable use and purchase conditions.
Our editorial approach
SwipeIQ publishes these guides to make the research and practice of dating photography useful. Articles explain the study design and measured findings, then identify how we apply the topic to photo planning. Public studies are cited as research on their subjects, not as trials of SwipeIQ.
We use AI assistance in drafting, check research claims against linked primary sources and date each article. We update substantive claims as the research and product develop.
